ornate Juniper root base, but
the design created from the
book matched Spalted Red
Sycamore on the top.

The
Juniper limb and Quartersawn
Red Sycamore accents on the
Walnut apron only add to the
character of this distinct
occasional table. The juniper
limbs denote a touch of the 'Molesworth'
style. Notice the
worm tracks in the Juniper
base, making it even more
unique. This base had to be
dug out of the ground because
it is actually the beginning
of the root system on the dead
Juniper it was cut from.

The
Quartersawn Red Sycamore
(sometimes called American
Lacewood) is full of 'lace' or
'fleck' which adds depth and
character to the table top and
accent pieces.
The
decorative cut of the
Quartersawn Red Sycamore accent
pieces and the Walnut apron
create a distinct design on the
edge of the table. 
The
Walnut edge has been scalloped
and hand sculpted to add depth
and dimension to the table top. It
was also chipped carved to
resemble a more natural edge and
adds to the elegance of this
piece.
